Benefit from morning pick-up from Strip hotels (pickup starts from 7 AM) in Las Vegas and enjoy a relaxing ride through the desert, passing Joshua trees and cacti on the way. As your vehicle starts its ascent into the mountains, note how the vegetation turns greener and the temperatures start to turn cooler. Look out for pine trees, juniper, manzanita, and bristlecone pines. Mount Charleston enjoys an elevation of 7,500 feet, meaning the temperature and surroundings are very pleasant during the summer. There are 50 miles of hiking trails to be explored during summer, whilst the area is known for its ski slopes in winter.
