Your journey begins at Willow Beach, where you'll meet your guide and gear up with a kayak, paddle, and life vest. After a short instructional session, launch into the sparkling turquoise waters of the Colorado River and begin paddling through steep, breathtaking canyon walls that rise up to 940 feet high. As you explore, keep an eye out for incredible desert wildlife—bald eagles, bighorn sheep, falcons, and even wild donkeys often make an appearance. Your guide will share fascinating river history as you pass sites like the Gauger’s Shack and paddle into two emerald caves, where the light reflects off the water in surreal, glowing shades of green. You’ll stop for a short hike to the stone foundation of a 1920s river gauger’s home, offering a glimpse into the past and stunning panoramic views.
