Itinerary
Day 1: Los Angeles → Las Vegas → St. George
Depart Los Angeles in the morning, passing through the Mojave Desert and Joshua trees. Arrive in Las Vegas around noon for exploration before continuing to St. George, Utah for an overnight stay.
Hotel: Wingate by Wyndham - St. George or similar.
Day 2: St. George → Lower Antelope Canyon → Horseshoe Bend → Salt Lake City
Visit Lower Antelope Canyon for a 90-minute guided tour of the slot canyon. Then spend 60 minutes admiring Horseshoe Bend’s natural formation. Continue to Salt Lake City for an overnight stay.
Hotel: La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Salt Lake City Airport or similar.
Day 3: Salt Lake City → Jackson → Grand Teton → Yellowstone National Park
Spend 60 minutes at Jackson Town Square viewing the elk antler arches and exploring the town. Visit Grand Teton National Park for mountain views and alpine lakes. Begin Yellowstone exploration with a 40-minute stop at West Thumb Geyser Basin.
Overnight in West Yellowstone.
Day 4: Full Day in Yellowstone National Park
Explore major Yellowstone highlights for 7 hours, including Norris Geyser Basin, Upper Falls, Artist’s Point, Hayden Valley, Mud Volcano, and Fishing Bridge. Look for wildlife throughout the park.
Hotel: Grant Village Yellowstone or West Yellowstone Hotel (free upgrade based on availability).
Day 5: Yellowstone National Park → Yellowstone Bear World → Great Salt Lake → Salt Lake City
Spend 3 hours visiting Grand Prismatic Hot Spring, Old Faithful, and Fountain Paint Pot. Enjoy a 60-minute drive-thru wildlife experience at Yellowstone Bear World. Stop for 20 minutes at the Great Salt Lake before returning to Salt Lake City. Transfer to the airport for flights departing after 8:00 PM.
