Arrive at Willow Beach Marina and get set up with everything you need. Unlike a structured group tour, the river is yours to explore. Whether you want a fitness-focused workout or a slow drift to soak in the sun, it’s completely up to you. The route is a straightforward, 2-mile paddle upstream, perfect for beginners and experts alike.
The star of the show is the legendary Emerald Cave. By exploring independently, you can time your visit to find a peaceful moment inside the glowing green grotto. When the light hits the water at the right angle, it transforms into a brilliant emerald jewel.
On your way back, keep your eyes peeled for desert bighorn sheep on the cliffs and bald eagles soaring above.
