Start at Willow Beach Marina, where you’ll receive all necessary kayaking equipment. This is a self-guided experience, allowing you to tailor your trip for fitness or leisure. The route runs approximately 2 miles upstream and is straightforward, offering an accessible paddle for all skill levels.
The highlight is exploring Emerald Cave independently. Timing your visit inside the cave lets you experience its green glow when sunlight hits the water at the right angle. On the return paddle, watch for wildlife such as desert bighorn sheep on cliffs and bald eagles soaring overhead.
