Description

Departing from Las Vegas, this tour offers a detailed view of the Hoover Dam, an engineering feat completed in 1935. Originally the world’s largest electric power producer and concrete structure, the dam currently ranks as the 34th-largest hydroelectric station globally.

During the tour, you will see 17 main turbines generating up to 2,074 megawatts of power. The Arizona Lookout Point provides the best views of the dam and Lake Mead.

The tour also includes a visit to the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge, which spans 900 feet above the Colorado River and is the longest and tallest arch bridge in the western hemisphere. You will also see the Mike O'Callahan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, which opened in 2010 and stretches nearly 2,000 feet.

This is an exterior tour only; the Hoover Dam Generator Room is currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Please note this is not the Hard Hat Tour.
