Hike through bold red sandstone structures that reflect sunlight, giving the appearance of fire. Spot desert wildlife and native plants along the trails with the help of your wilderness guide. Begin at the Visitor Center to explore geological and wildlife exhibits.
The hike includes the White Dome Loop, a 1.1-mile (1.8 km) moderate trail featuring a slot canyon and striking rock formations. Next, visit Rainbow Vista, another 1.1-mile (1.8 km) trail showcasing colorful Aztec sandstone formations. Follow this with a half-mile easy hike at Mouses Tank Canyon, where you can view native petroglyphs and additional rock formations.
The tour concludes with a stop at either Seven Sisters—a cluster of seven tall, red eroded boulders—or the nearby cabins to rest.
