Description

This guided kayak tour launches from Willow Beach, a 45-50 minute drive from Las Vegas, and explores the Colorado River through Black Canyon. The tour reaches deeper into the canyon than typical routes, offering more water time and varied areas to explore.

The route includes stops at Emerald Cave, Emerald Cove, and the historic Gauger House foundation, the original survey site for Hoover Dam. Optional short, easy hikes and beach stops for swimming are available along the way.

Wildlife frequently spotted includes desert bighorn sheep on cliffs, great blue herons, other bird species, and fish such as trout and striped bass.

Guides provide a clear kayaking lesson before departure and ongoing personalized coaching during paddling. Wilderness First Aid certified, they support all skill levels, from first-timers to those refining strokes.
