Sunset Cruises in Las Vegas

Las Vegas might be famous for its neon lights, but you haven't really seen the city until you’ve watched the sun dip just right from the water. Sunset cruises here take you away from the Strip’s chaos, offering a chill spot to watch how the sky changes colors over Lake Las Vegas or on the Colorado River near the city.

One of my favorite spots to launch is the Lake Las Vegas area. The water’s calm, and as the sun sets, the desert hues bounce off the surface, giving off this mellow vibe you won’t get downtown. Try a smaller boat or even a sailboat if you want something more personal , it’s easy to forget you’re only 20 miles from flashing slot machines.

If you’re more of a night owl, some cruises run later too, showing the Strip lights shimmer across the water. And heads-up, summer evenings can still get warm out there, but a light jacket helps when the breeze kicks in. Pro tip: snag a spot on the port side to catch the views of the Lake Las Vegas lighthouse right as the sky turns pink.
